The CAHIP Leadership Exchange is an inaugural program designed to unite industry leaders in a collaborative environment. Led by CAHIP President-Elect Vanessa Ignacio and VP of Membership Irma Romero, this series will address the most pressing challenges facing health insurance professionals today. The curriculum is structured as a journey, beginning with internal leadership foundations and expanding to external communication, professional ethics, strategic planning, and culminating in a forward-looking vision for the organization.

Session 1: The Foundation of Leadership: Building Trust Through Self-Awareness

Industry Problem: A deficit of trust—between leaders and their teams, agents and their clients, and professionals and their peers—is the single greatest obstacle to growth and influence. Without trust, communication fails and relationships falter.

Session Description: Leadership begins with the self. This foundational session tackles the challenge of trust by starting with introspection, guided by the Socratic principle to "know thyself." We will explore the Heroic Voice Academy's framework of Vision, Values, and Vows (Promises). Participants will learn how to peel back the layers of their own identity to transparently define what they stand for, what their clients can count on them for, and how to communicate this with confidence. This session will be launched by guest contributor Anthony Lee.
